Decatur County Industrial Park

This Industrial park has an airport and several large industries. Surrounding uses are mostly agricultural in nature. U.S. Hwy 27 is located adjacent to the Industrial Park.


General Industrial Park Information:

  • Acreage: 2,000 +-
  • Owner: Decatur County
  • Location: Five miles northwest of Bainbridge city limits on U.S. Highway 27.
  • Description: Roughly rectangular in shape and planned for industrial users. 700 acres remain for development.
  • Topography: Level with elevations ranging from 120-140 MSL. Surface water runoff generally flows south.
  • Utilities: Electricity, water, sewer and natural gas are all in place.
  • Rail Transportation: Available on site. CSX provides mainline service to Bainbridge with Georgia Southwestern providing shortline service to the Park. There is over 14,000 ft. of County owned spurs.
  • River Transportation: Flint River (128 miles to the Gulf of Mexico by river).
  • Corporate Air Transportation: Decatur County Airport at the industrial park.
  • Highway Transportation: I-10 (within 39 minutes), US 84 (within 4 miles), and US 27 (immediately accessible from the industrial park).

  

Commodore Industrial Park

Commodore Industrial Park is a planned industrial district with surrounding land that supports uses that include industrial, commercial and agricultural.


General Commodore Park Information:

  • Acreage: 700 +-
  • Owner: City of Bainbridge & Decatur County
  • Location: Within the western city limits of Bainbridge, at the intersection of U.S. Highway 27 and U.S. Highway 84.
  • Description: A planned industrial district, partially on the site of the former Commodore Decatur Airport, adjacent to Bainbridge State Docks. 589 acres remain to be developed.
  • Topography: Level with elevations ranging from 90-104 MSL. Surface runoff generally flows south into the Flint River.
  • Utilities: Electricity, water, sewer and natural gas are all in place.
  • Rail: CSX rail serves the Industrial Park.
